Planning a Disney Holiday

Planning a Disney World holiday can be stressful and requires a lot of preparation and thought. You have to know the best places to go, where to stay, what to do when you’re there, how long to go for, and other factors that will ultimately affect how successful your holiday is. Once you know such information, you can't go wrong by firstly checking out the holiday planning guide on Disney's official website.

Disneyworld Florida holidays require much more planning than others due to the large acres of land you have to cover, but it can be fairly straightforward if you know exactly what you want to do and see. This article will give you an overview of different areas of the parks and what there is to do and see.

There are four major theme parks at Disney World: Magical Kingdom, Animal Kingdom, Epcot and Disney’s Hollywood Studios. There are also two water parks and many other events and attractions.

Magical Kingdom was the original theme park and is now part of every Disney location. There are three Mountain roller coasters and a Haunted Mansion worth checking out.

Animal Kingdom is much larger than Magic Kingdom and includes standard theme park rides, but also an incredible safari experience with animals in large habitats in themed African and Asian areas.

Epcot features hands-on exhibits and international pavilions. Many find it fun to travel around the 11 different countries and areas, and if this is something you’d like to do then aim to spend time here. Some even go as far as calling it educational. There are also test track rides and beautiful displays in the evenings; and of course great cuisine.

The fourth major area is Disney’s Hollywood Studios. This offers great live shows and musicals, as well as night time performances and fireworks. There are also rides, and those who want to can walk through the movie studios.

With the four major theme parks sorted you should know where you want to spend most of your time – of course you’ll want to spend time everywhere but, seeing as Disney is the size of Boston, it’s recommended that you stay close to where you want to spend time. These major attractions may make a dent in your wallet but all are well worth the money. There are also plenty of free things to do in Orlando that are worth checking out. No matter what you do, you will leave with lasting memories of a great holiday.
